Alexander Christopher Hale is the main bloke out of August Actually, one half of Geoffrey and the Livingstones, one half of Hallway Admission, used to play keyboards in Japanese Sleepers, and has a doppelgänger (Alan Poirot) in the new avant-skiffle trio Poirot's Boys. Until late 2013 he did music under the alias of Hannibal Hamster but has decided that that was silly and now releases his songs about robots and monsters under his own name.
