Alex the Astronaut is the stage name of Alex Lynn, a Sydney, Australia singer-songwriter who works in folktronica and indie folk. Born in 1995, she releases music on Minkowski Records.

Early releases

She releases her first two EPs in 2017. To Whom It May Concern includes the single “Already Home”, a song about a bus ride and everyday routines, and it features the line “there’s billionaires for president, and parking fines at hospitals”. The second EP, See You Soon, includes “Not Worth Hiding”. That track reaches No. 23 in the Triple J Hottest 100.

Her debut album, The Theory Of Absolutely Nothing, is released in 2020.
