AlascA

AlascA is an indie folk group from Edam-Volendam in the Netherlands. The band forms in 2008 and remains active.

Line-up

The group includes Frank Bond, Paul Bond, Ferdinand Jonk, Louis van Sinderen and Martin Tol. In earlier line-ups, Maarten Stok appears on bass, while Frank Bond handles vocals and guitar, Ferdinand Jonk plays guitars and banjo and also sings, Louis van Sinderen plays drums and percussion, and Paul Bond contributes keys and vocals.

Style and influences

AlascA plays country-tinged indie folk. Their sound is compared with Crosby, Stills & Nash, Calexico, Midlake and Love.

Albums

The band’s debut album, Actors & Liars, is released in 2012. Prospero follows in 2015, and Plea for Peace appears in 2018.

Later activity

After Plea for Peace, the Bond brothers focus on other projects, and the band’s future is described as uncertain.
