Ageless Oblivion

Ageless Oblivion is a five-piece group from Hampshire, active since 2009. Its music is rooted in dissonant death metal and technical death metal, and it combines harsh, complex riffing with elements drawn from progressive and atmospheric heavy music. The band is associated with a sound that brings together the brutality of Nile, the Morbid Angel influence also heard in acts such as Gojira, and the expansive textures of bands like Mogwai and Cult of Luna, alongside doom-influenced riffs.

The group’s lyrics focus on the disturbing strength of human potential and mankind’s inner potential. Its debut album, Temples of Transcendent Evolution, appears on Siege Of Amida Records, a label linked with acts including Annotations Of An Autopsy, Ingested, Diskreet and Dyscarnate. The album features production by Chris Fielding, whose credits include Dyscarnate, Napalm Death and Electric Wizard, and mastering by Tim Turan, who has worked with Opeth, Ingested and Emperor.
