Adrianne

Adrianne Gonzalez is an American singer-songwriter and musician who is born and raised in Miami and later bases herself in Los Angeles. She writes and performs as Adrianne and also appears as Adrianne C. Smith in Chicago, Illinois; the name is also used by more than one artist.

Early musical background

She is interested in music from an early age and is self-taught on piano and vocals. While in high school, she discovers the Indigo Girls, which inspires her to start writing her own songs. She gets her first guitar at 17.

Education and career

Adrianne studies at the Berklee College of Music, where she earns a degree in music production and engineering. After graduation, she signs a publishing deal with Lionel Conway and moves to the West Coast.

Solo releases

Her debut album, For Adeline, is released in 2000. It is followed by 10,000 Stones four years later, then Down to This in 2005 and Sweet Mistake in 2006. She also self-releases a covers EP, Boy Songs, in 2007.

Other work

Alongside her solo work, Adrianne is a member of the band The Rescues.
