Adi Ulmansky

Adi Ulmansky is an Israeli producer, singer and rapper from Yerushalayim, Israel. She is born in 1989 and works in indie, electronic and pop-influenced music.

Early work and television appearances

Ulmansky starts singing at a young age and appears in a range of settings, including youth bands, cover bands, school projects, a local electronic rock band and other artists’ projects. Her first public appearance is on the Israeli prime-time television show Kokhav Nolad in 2007, the local version of Pop Idol and American Idol. She goes on to make further television appearances and releases music videos for Music 24 and MTV Israel.

Releases and collaborations

Her debut solo mixtape, Shit Just Got Real, is released in 2013, followed later that year by the solo EP Hurricane Girl. She collaborates with the director Vania Heymann on music videos, and also works with artists including Johnny Goldstein and the producer Borgore. With Borgore, she releases tracks including “Someone Else’s”.

Band work and recognition

Ulmansky is the founder and leader of the band Lorena B. From late 2012 she focuses on her solo career. In 2012, American Express selects her for its The Young Professionals project as the only musician among nine leading young individuals in Israel. The project is connected with the relaunch of the American Express BLUE card in Israel and involves TYP, Keshet TV’s Mako and Timeout Tel Aviv.
