ACODA

ACODA are a Corby, Northamptonshire-based progressive post-hardcore and alternative rock group formed in 2008. The band describes itself as a Midlands quintet with a strong DIY ethic and a heavy emphasis on touring and live performance. Its sound is tagged across post-hardcore, metalcore, hardcore, progressive and screamo, and it is also identified as a metal and rock act.

Career

ACODA builds its reputation through independent touring across the UK and Europe, including dates in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Slovenia and Croatia. In 2013 the band signs to Best Before Records and issues its debut full-length album, Yours To Defend. It then releases the six-track EP Round The Sun in 2014, followed by the album Truth Seeker in 2015. That album includes the singles “Whispers Like Roars”, “Make It Up As You Go”, “’Round The Sun” and “Won’t Go Running”.

The group’s discography includes the EP Characters in 2009, the self-titled Acoda EP in 2012, Yours To Defend in 2013, Round The Sun in 2014, Truth Seeker in 2015 and the single “Ready Or Not” in 2019.

Members

The current line-up is Damon Tang on vocals and guitar, Jake Crawford on guitar, Stephen Crook on bass and Jay Russell on drums. Tang, Crook and Russell are present from 2008, while Crawford joins in 2009 and Russell enters the group in 2013. Former members include Wayne Parker, Dan Appleyard and Shaun Flynn.
