Acid Mammoth is a Greek stoner/doom metal band from Athens, active since 2015. The group forms around Chris Babalis Jr. and Dimosthenis Variko, and its line-up includes Chris Babalis Sr. and Marios Louvaris.

Formation and line-up

The band begins in 2015, when Chris Babalis Jr. and Dimosthenis Variko start the project in Athens. Chris Babalis Sr., who is Babalis Jr.'s father, later joins the group, along with Marios Louvaris.

Style and releases

Acid Mammoth works in doom metal and stoner rock, with heavy psych, psychedelic rock and rock also associated with its sound. The band self-releases its debut full-length album in 2017. Its second full-length album, Under Acid Hoof, is released through Heavy Psych Sounds.
