Ace Bushy Striptease are a Birmingham group active from 2007 to 2014. They begin as a five-piece pop act, formed as a distraction from university business, and develop from twee indie pop roots into a rougher, looser style often described as cuddlecore with pop-punk elements.

The group’s songs are short, avoid repetition, and favour an immediate, direct approach. Over time they tour and perform around the UK, and their sound shifts from its early sweet-voiced indie-pop base into something more chaotic and abrasive while still remaining melodic.
