999999999, pronounced “Nine Times Nine,” is an electronic project from the United States. It is presented as a concept created by two people who prefer not to define it in fixed terms. The project begins in July 2016.

Its output includes releases on its own label, Nine Times Nine, and a later appearance on Planet Rhythm’s special 303 vinyl release. Those records sell out quickly after release. The act is also associated with clubs and parties in several European cities, where it appears live.

Performance is central to the project. It uses hardware-based improvisation in both live settings and studio work, and this approach is described as spontaneous and not easily repeatable.
