7ebra

7ebra are a Malmö-based group formed in 2019 and active from that point onwards. The duo consists of twin sisters Inez Johansson and Ella Johansson. Inez plays guitar and vocals, while Ella plays keys, organ and Mellotron.

Their music sits in indie pop, indie rock and lo-fi, with a sound described as sparse and built from a small set of instruments. Guitar fuzz, organ figures and harmonies are central to their approach, giving their songs a clear melodic shape while keeping an edge.

7ebra debut in 2022 with the double single “I Have A Lot To Say” and “If I Ask Her”. They also release the album Bird Hour, which presents their style in a warm, elegant form and retains a sense of mystery in the writing.

They open for Future Islands and The Dandy Warhols, are selected by Apple Music’s Matt Wilkinson as a Hidden Gem of 2022, and are booked for showcase appearances at SXSW and Eurosonic.
