4 Non Blondes

4 Non Blondes are an American alternative rock and pop rock group from San Francisco, formed in 1989. The band’s line-up includes Linda Perry on guitar and vocals, Christa Hillhouse on bass, Dawn Richardson on drums and Roger Rocha on guitar. Shaunna Hall and Wanda Day are also part of the group’s early line-up, and Louis Metoyer is listed among the members.

Career

The band releases one studio album, Bigger, Better, Faster, More!, in 1992. It spends 59 weeks on the US Billboard 200 and sells more than six million copies worldwide. Its single “What’s Up?” reaches number 14 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and tops charts in several countries, becoming the group’s best-known song.

Perry leaves the band in 1994, after which the remaining members disband. 4 Non Blondes later reunite for a one-off performance in 2014 and remain active.
