3 Doors Down is an American rock band from Escatawpa, Mississippi, formed in 1996. The group’s music is generally described as post-grunge, alternative rock, hard rock, alternative metal, acoustic rock and pop rock. Its line-up includes Matt Roberts, Todd Harrell, Brad Arnold, Richard Liles, Chris Henderson, Daniel Adair, Greg Upchurch, Chet Roberts and Justin Biltonen.

Career

3 Doors Down reach mainstream success with their 2000 debut single “Kryptonite”, which peaks at number three on the Billboard Hot 100. The song appears on the band’s debut album, The Better Life (2000), which becomes the 11th-best-selling album of that year and is certified septuple platinum by the RIAA. The album also produces the Billboard Hot 100 entries “Loser” and “Be Like That”.

The follow-up album, Away from the Sun (2002), debuts at number eight on the Billboard 200 and includes the top-five singles “When I’m Gone” and “Here Without You”. The band’s third and fourth studio albums, Seventeen Days (2005) and 3 Doors Down (2008), both debut at number one on the Billboard 200 and are certified platinum by the RIAA.

The later albums Time of My Life (2011) and Us and the Night (2016) continue the band’s chart history, peaking at number three and number 14 respectively on the Billboard 200.
