Peter Andre at Rochester Castle for the Castle Concerts

Festival Crowd Header
Peter Andre

First on stage were a band called Paradise Point, they are made up of Cameron Jones on vocals, Roman Kemp playing bass, Adam Saunderson who plays the the guitar and drummer Johnnie Shinner, as well as a keyboard planer. Although this was their first gig in Kent they definitely brought their fans with them! They performed ‘Caught on Camera’ and ‘Run in Circles’ as well as ‘tears’ and even covered ‘Price Tag’ the number one single by Jessie J. With influences such as Spandeau ballet and Duran Duran, this band have a familiar yet unique sound and are definitely a band to watch in the upcoming months!

The Reason 4 were the second support act who appeared on the X Factor last year, they didn’t make it to the final but they haven’t given up on their dream! They came out on stage and performed A Capella version of Cheryl Cole’s song ‘Fight for this love’ and their debut single which is released on the 7th of August ‘Take it all’, they also covered ‘Just The Way You Are’, the four guys got the crowd singing along to songs they knew and even went out after the show to sign autographs for their new and existing fans.
Then the main act took to the stage, Peter Andre, his dancers walked out first and then performed ‘Defender’ the first single from his latest album ‘Accelerate’, ‘Ready for Us’ and he took a journey back to the 90’s, performing ‘Flava’ and a medley of ‘You’ve Got that Vibe’ and ‘Two Can Play that Game’, along with his other well known songs. Peter Andre definitely loves performing as do his 4,000 fans whom were there tonight along with his family who were sat front row cheering him on!

All in all it was a great night, the Castle Concerts are a great set of gigs run these last couples of years by Medway Council and they really bring the community together and give an excuse for a good night out as well as a lovely picnic and some drinks!
