He’s ruled the airwaves and charts all summer with his infectious ‘Earthquake’, and now DJ Fresh looks destined to have another huge hit with brand new single ‘Dibby Dibby Sound’.

A collaboration with hotly-tipped St Louis producer Jay Fay and legendary garage vocalist Ms Dynamite – released on February 2nd via Ministry of Sound Recordings.

‘Dibby Dibby Sound’ sees DJ Fresh collaborate with Jay Fay, the 19 year old St Louis producer whose original blend of Moombahton, Electro House, and Trap on ‘Dibby Dibby’ provided the unique backbone to the song.  Moombahton is a fusion genre of house music and reggaeton that was created by American DJ and producer Dave Nada, which shares rhythmic origins with electro house with reggaeton-influenced percussion elements.  Jay Fay’s original tracks and remixes have become highly sought-after secret weapons for Diplo, Calvin Harris, Skream, Dillon Francis, Jack Beats, Nadastrom, and a host of other tastemakers.

Proving that he’s impossible to pigeon-hole, DJ Fresh takes Jay Fay’s original ‘Dibby Dibby’ into a new, genre-defying direction.  In order to re-work the track into ‘Dibby Dibby Sound’, having decided he wanted to give it a carnival vibe, he conducted exhaustive, encyclopaedic research into traditional Brazilian drum beats to re-create an authentic carnival sound, re-playing and re-creating individual drum beats and sounds himself.  The result is a relentless, marching baseline which provides the perfect soundtrack to Ms Dynamite’s inimitable vocals which together make ‘Dibby Dibby Sound’ irresistible after the first listen.

Having sold nearly 2 million records worldwide and with 2 UK No.1 singles to his name, DJ Fresh has spent the summer performing at some of the biggest festivals in the UK and around the world, including headlining the In New Music We Trust stage at Radio 1’s Big Weekend and appearances at Wireless, Global Gathering, Bestival, V Festival and many more.

DJ and producer Daniel Stein, a.k.a. DJ Fresh, is one of the UK's most respected and influential electronic music producers. Dan began his musical mission at the tender age of 19 when he fronted renowned drum and bass group 'Bad Company', whom NME dubbed 'the Wu-Tang of drum and bass'.  Since then he has carved out a successful career as a producer, labelboss (founding Breakbeat Kaos with fellow drum ‘n’ bass luminary Adam F) and artist in his own right, recently scoring two number ones with ‘Louder’ and ‘Hot Right Now (ft Rita Ora)’, which were the UK’s first ever dubstep and drum ‘n’ bass number ones, respectively. Recently signed in America to Columbia Records, home of other successful British exports Adele, One Direction and Calvin Harris, DJ Fresh looks set to go global.
