Festival Crowd Header

Boardmasters just got bigger, as more than 50 acts have been announced today for the 2018 festival. Stefflon Don, Disciples LIVE, Idris Elba, Ash, MNEK,...

..., Becky Hill and Dusky are just some of the newly-revealed names set to perform at Watergate Bay this summer, alongside headliners The Chemical Brothers, Catfish and the Bottlemen and George Ezra. Cornwall’s own surf and music festival takes place from Wednesday 8 – Sunday 12 August 2018 across two stunning sites, Fistral Beach for exhilarating international surf action and Watergate Bay for world-class live music and simply unbeatable views.

Hot off the back of being crowned Best New Artist at the NME Awards, Stefflon Don will bring her charismatic rap talent to the heart of Watergate Bay this August. From her debut single ‘Real Ting’ through to her break-out hits ’16 Shots’ and ‘Hurtin’ Me’, expect to be blown away by the Birmingham rapper this summer whilst enjoying the incredible view of the Cornish coastline.

Disciples LIVE, the kings of electronic music, will also be gracing Boardmasters this year, playing their hits of recent years including the summer smash single ‘How Deep Is Your Love’. The band’s contemporary sound, combining garage and house music, will amplify the good vibes and of course the sunshine this summer!

Idris Elba puts his acting to one side over the Boardmasters weekend. The Luther star is a well-respected DJ alongside his television and film talents and will bring his DJ, hip hop and soul skills to the heart of Cornwall for what will be an unforgettable set.

Pop songsmith MNEK is also heading to Watergate Bay this August. Undoubtedly one of the biggest names in pop today, he has penned and produced top tracks for artists including Beyoncé, Madonna, Dua Lipa, Diplo and many more alongside releasing his own material. The Boardmasters crowd will be blown away by the incredible performance he’ll bring this summer. He’ll ‘Never Forget You’, and we bet you’ll never forget him.

An incredible feat of fantastic musical talent is heading to Cornwall this summer for Boardmasters. As well as the previously announced line up, which includes the mighty headliners Catfish & The Bottlemen, The Chemical Brothers and George Ezra, festivalgoers will be treated to the likes of Electronic duos Booka Shade and Dusky, Northern Irish rockers Ash, hiphop-DJ pioneer Grandmaster Flash as well as indie rockers The Sherlocks. Also confirmed to play this summer are DJ Zinc b2b MJ Cole, Will Clarke, Shadow Child, Nadia Rose, Becky Hill, Isaac Gracie, Will Clarke, Songhoy Blues, Kitty, Daisy & Lewis, Nadine Shah, Confidence Man and Gengahr.

Songstress Jade Bird will be returning to Boardmasters to once again wow the crowd, whilst nine-piece British dub band Gentleman’s Dub Club will be bringing their energetic live shows to the Cornish coastline this summer. Aussie roots group The Beautiful Girls will also be appearing across the festival’s nine stages, as well as Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly, Trance Wax, Krystal Klear, Joseph J. Jones, Beans On Toast, Too Many T’s, The Correspondents, Ryan Platts, Mahalia, Elisa & Srigala, Mr Woodnote, Bronx Cheer, The Hempolics, West Thebarton, The Keg Comedy Hour, KIOKO, Two Tribes, Paradisia, Hedluv & Passman, Josephine and The Artizans, Andy Quick Band, Not The Beatles, Mongolian Disco Show, Alex Lleo, Club Peel, Three Minute Warning, Lost in Music and Duncan Reid & the Big Heads.

Inspired by the freedom, adventure and creativity of surfing and music, Boardmasters was born in 1981. Expect parties that run late into the night and a beautiful beach to recuperate on during the day. The 5-day event is situated across two stunning locations in Cornwall - the surfing mecca of the UK, Fistral Beach, where world class International Surf Competitions take place, and arguably the most stunning location in the country to watch live music, Watergate Bay. Last year the surf and music festival welcomed over 150,000 festival goers to sunny Cornwall.
