A Brief History of The Blockheads

Originally brought together to promote Ian Durys' album 'New Boots and Panties,' The Blockheads quickly gained popularity and recognition for their music. With hits like 'What a Waste' and 'Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick,' the band made a mark on the music scene in the late '70s and early '80s.

After disbanding in 1982, The Blockheads reunited in the early 1990s to perform at the 'Madstock' Festival in Finsbury Park, alongside other iconic bands like Madness.
