The Gaslight Anthem

The Gaslight Anthem are excited to announce a headline UK tour for Spring 2013. The Gaslight Anthem tickets go on-sale 9am on Friday 16th November.

Following their triumphant return to the live arena this year at their incredible sold out shows at Brixton Academy and around the UK - The Gaslight Anthem are excited to announce a headline UK tour for Spring 2013.

The Gaslight Anthem have had a brilliant year. Top 5 album around the world, performed at several major festival appearances this year including opening for Bon Jovi at Bamboozle in East Rutherford, NJ; playing with Metallica at Orion Festival in Atlantic City, NJ and Lollapalooza (for the second time) at Grant Park in Chicago.  Recent European dates included shows with Soundgarden in Paris, Berlin and Milan and several major festivals.  The band also had triumphant performances on the main stage at this year’s Reading and Leeds Festivals.

The Gaslight Anthem also announced their new fan club - The 45 PRM Club. The membership (at the low price of $25 per year) will allow members to purchase any 45 Fan Club pre-sale tickets for shows as well as various awesome bits of merchandise and vinyl only available through the club. The band said: “We decided to create a place where our fans could talk to other fans, share live recordings, photos, and their thoughts.  We also wanted to make a place where we could give something extra back to the people who've supported us through the years, help cut down on scalpers, and make sure real fans get the tickets they want.  It's also a place to get some cool extras every year from us just to say thanks for being there with us through the ride.”

“Handwritten” -  The Gaslight Anthem’s first album on Mercury Records, was produced by two-time Grammy Award®-winner Brendan O’Brien, known for his work with Bruce Springsteen (Best Rock Album Grammy, 2002), Pearl Jam, Incubus and many others. The result is the most committed, affecting and compelling album of The Gaslight Anthem's career to date. Introduced by muscular lead-off single “45”, which received it's world premiere on BBC Radio 1 as Zane Lowe's Hottest Record In The World, it finds the Jersey boys in inspired form, decanting '60's soul, '70's stadium rock, '80s hardcore and '90's grunge into eleven white-knuckle, blue-collar everyman anthems. Brian Fallon likens its incandescent electrical storms to "Tom Petty songs [being] played by Pearl Jam". Put more simply, it's a supercharged American rock 'n' roll classic.

Prior to “Handwritten”, The Gaslight Anthem – Brian Fallon (lead vocals, guitar), Alex Rosamilia (guitar, vocals), Alex Levine (bass, vocals), and Benny Horowitz (drums, percussion) – released three full-length indie albums: Sink Or Swim (2007, XOXO Records), The ’59 Sound (2008, SideOneDummy Records), and American Slang (June 2010, SideOneDummy).
