After a one year hiatus, the Autumn’s leading new music event Southsea Fest is back and bigger than ever before with Mystery Jets, Coasts, Lucy Rose, Little Comets

Celebrating its 10th year anniversary, the Cap’n and crew invite you to the now expanded 6,000 capacity event across multiple venues in Southsea & Portsmouth. For the first time the Pyramids venue will be programmed during the one day event, which includes 19 live music spaces, all accessed with one wristband - while a brand new shuttle bus service will ferry people across the town.

Unequivocal indie-pop heroes Mystery Jets have proven one of the most exciting crossover bands of the last ten years. Their dancehall anthems “Two Doors Down”, “You Can’t Fool Me Dennis” and “Serotonin” have taken them on to headline sold out tours across the world, proving themselves as a highly acclaimed festival mainstay. They top the Pyramids stage alongside the rapidly emerging Black Honey and The Big Moon who have picked up nods from the Guardian, DIY and NME as well as plays across Radio 1 and Radio X.

Championed by Pitchfork, who describe Eagulls sound as “a deep atmosphere reminiscent of early Misfits and guitars that bring to mind the Cure's "Boys Don't' Cry" – they too come aboard in 2016 for one of the sweatiest, honest, anti-VIP days in British music. Little Comets and Tellison bring melody-rich indie, with Lucy Rose’s “beefed out rock n roll sounds” (as The Line Of Best Fit put it) now joined by numerous alternative acts:
