We Are FSTVL Reveals First Names: Wiley, Armand Van Helden And More

Festival Crowd Header

Celebrating as ever the UK Dance community for which it has become the circuit-breaking champion, We Are FSTVL now tease the first flavours of a 5th Anniversary on May 26th-28th that will see the totemic taste-makers set fresh precedent.

With new records already made in sell-out ticket sales even before today’s announcement of scene celebrities Carl Cox, Basement Jaxx, Wiley and more, We Are FSTVLcontinue to realise a concept that is worlds apart from all others as they welcome happy campers for a whole weekend in party paradise.

Crowning the Summer calendar for UK Dance culture, We Are FSTVL yet again promise in this commemorative year all the partnerships with the highest echelons of clubbing that have cemented their ruling reputation. The White Isle is well represented in Circoloco, Jamie Jones’ ‘Paradise’, Defected’s ‘Glitterbox’, Space Ibiza living on and reigning supreme in situ as well as a special world exclusive ‘Play it Loud’ UK and festival showcase from Marco Carola as part of his curated arena. Genre-defining labels Diynamic, Defected itself, Hospitality and UKF also claim theirs of fourteen stages, in a spoil of choice across one field for fans of every style in club sound. Boldly booking over 150 artists – more than double that of 2015 – 2017 will be the hallmark for a festival not easily confined within definitions, or its horizons.

The first phase in a series of reveals to come, a yet classified arena expanding uncontainable FSTVL beyond its borders among them, the initial acts serve as notice ahead of the New Year on We Are’s central place. It is a roll call reflecting in their most commanding acts to ever come together, the almighty godfather of grime, Wiley, the soul of DJing in Carl Cox, the discerning depths in Dixon, bosses in Sven Väth, Marco Carola, Solomun of crews from every corner, and all the salient points of the dancefloor in its neoteric new school lead by Seth Troxler & The Martinez Brothers.

Now, for the first time, FSTVL will be introducing camping, enlisting the help of Pop Up Hotel, Tangerine Fields and Morning Gloryville – who will be on site each morning from 10am sharing their internationally loved mantra, “Rave Your Way, Into The Day” – to establish this as a home from home, acclimatising revellers to their weekend-long escape in the otherworldly in FSTVL spirit. Hot tubs, a woodland spa, tall ball pool
, giant pillow fights
, We Are Sports Day, Glitter Palace, Blowdry Bar, We Are campfire
and pop up restaurants all populate this plane out of all normal existence. It is truly an exploration into the unknown with Gloryville LightSpace, a temple where festival-goers can go for adventure, connection, and good old-fashioned love. Never under-estimate the power of a cuddle workshop is the motto, with shamanic journeying and crystal healing only an enticing teaser of the luxury to be lost in.

And for those who want to do more than relax and pamper in the campsite, in true We Are FSTVL style, there will be signature We Are Houseparties throughout the weekend; Friday will see 2 editions - D-Vine Sounds with Sam Divine, Franky Rizardo and Amine Edge & Dance as well as Manchester label, Kaluki with Steve Lawler and Richy Ahmed, Saturday welcomes Sleepin is Cheatin with Chris Lorenzo and Tom Zanetti and to close it all, Sunday knees ups with Do Not Sleep featuring Darius Syrossian and Josh Butler as well as Regression Sessions with Granite State and Mista Bounce.
