By car, Sledmere House is easy to reach via local main roads. For example, drivers from Leeds or Manchester can take the M62 toward Hull and then join the A63/A164 north toward Driffield, while visitors from Hull follow the A63/A164 north. From York, the A64 to Malton and A166 lead into Driffield. Once near Driffield, follow signs for Sledmere House or enter YO25 3XG in your GPS for the final country roads. Free on-site parking is provided for festival attendees (including accessible parking for Blue Badge holders), and clear signage will direct you to the proper car parks and camping areas.
For public transport, the nearest train stations are at Driffield (about 7 miles away) and Bridlington (around 14 miles away). Both have connections from Hull and York. From either station, the simplest way to reach Sledmere House is by taxi (roughly a 20-minute drive) or the East Yorkshire Bus service from Driffield. Route 535 serves villages near Sledmere (check the timetable). Long-distance coaches to Hull, York or Scarborough allow transfers to local trains or taxis for the final leg to Sledmere.
The nearest airport is Humberside Airport (HUY), about a 30–40 minute drive away, with car rentals and taxis on site. Leeds Bradford Airport (around 1.5 hours by road) and Manchester Airport also serve the region; travelers from these airports can take a train or coach to York or Hull and then continue by local transport or car. In any case, allow extra travel time for connections to reach Sledmere House after a flight.
Sledmere House itself offers camping fields, so many visitors stay on site under canvas or in campervans (electric hookups are available by booking in advance). Glamping options like tipi tents and cabin-style huts can also be reserved. If you prefer lodging, the nearby town of Driffield (about 10 minutes away by car) has several guesthouses and B&Bs. Other Yorkshire towns like Beverley, Scarborough or Malton offer larger hotels but are farther away (around an hour’s drive). Accommodations close to the festival can fill up quickly, so it is best to book early.
