The Sanctum Festival 2027 brings a modern-metal bill to Dead Wax, Birmingham, from Friday 20 August to Sunday 22 August. It started with a one-day pilot at The Flapper in July 2024, then moved to Dead Wax for a two-day 2025 edition. By 2026 it ran for three days.

The 2027 edition keeps that three-day format, with General Early Bird 3-day tickets listed at £38.50.

Lineup and Programme

Two named acts sit on the bill. Announced acts include The Five Hundred and Exist Immortal.

The programme leans into modern metal and metalcore, with progressive metalcore and progressive post-hardcore also named in event listings. Sets run on the outdoor courtyard stage and Duck Bath outdoor stage. Merch and independent stalls sit alongside the live sets.

Who Is It For?

This is an 18+ only event. ID may be required. The audience is adult modern-metal fans, with the DIY and community focus giving it a clear fit for metalcore and progressive-heavy crowds.

Under-18s are excluded by the age restriction.

Dead Wax Digbeth is a live music and vinyl bar in Digbeth. The festival uses the venue's 300-capacity outdoor courtyard stage, with the site centred on that outdoor arena.
