The Orkney Folk Festival was first held in 1982 and has become a celebration of traditional Orkney music, dance and culture for one weekend each May. It brings together musicians, storytellers, poets, dramatists, dancers and their aud sciences. The festival is held in Stromness and attracts many visitors and locals.
