About Mangata Festival
After starting at The Old Cold Store in 2022, Mangata Festival 2027 puts heavy metal and alternative metal into Rescue Rooms, Nottingham on Saturday 4 September 2027.
The festival works with Nottingham’s underground alternative scene and has previously named local brewery partners including Liquid Light and Blue Monkey. Doors are listed for 12:00.
Lineup and Programme
The programme is built around live heavy-music performances across the venue complex. The 2026 edition advertised 40+ bands across 5 stages in Nottingham city centre.

Tap n Tumbler is a free-entry stage within the festival. The festival marketplace runs in the Horn in Hand, and food traders operate on the Rescue Rooms patio.
Who Is It For?
The audience skews toward heavy-music fans and Nottingham’s underground alternative scene.
The overall age policy is 14+, with under-18s accompanied by a responsible adult. Tap n Tumbler is 18+ only, and venues use Challenge 25.
The Venue and Site
Rescue Rooms, Red Room/Stealth and Tap n Tumbler form the site in Nottingham city centre. The main Rescue Rooms stage is on the ground floor.
Step-free access runs from Goldsmith Street and Talbot Street into the complex, with a disabled toilet in the Rescue Rooms main bar. Rescue Rooms itself is listed at 480 capacity by Ticketmaster.
Pass-outs are allowed throughout the event.
