Traveling to Lost Minds is easy whether you’re coming by plane or train. The closest major airport is Newcastle International (NCL), about a 20-30 minute drive from the festival site. From there you can take a taxi or rental car, or use public transit into the city. Newcastle Central Station connects to major UK cities via train, and once in town the Tyne & Wear Metro (Green or Yellow line) stops near Exhibition Park (the festival venue). Several local bus routes also run close by (for example buses 10, 11, 307, 43 and X1), making it simple to reach the park from Newcastle and surrounding areas.

If you’re driving, the main approach is via the A1(M) southbound (from Northumberland or beyond) or A19/M1 (from the south). Take the exit toward Gosforth/Newcastle and follow signs for the city centre, then Exhibition Park. There are a few car parks near the venue, but spaces can fill up quickly, so consider car-sharing or official park-and-ride options if available. Also allow extra travel time, as traffic can be heavy on event day. Once you’re in the area, a quick GPS search for Exhibition Park, Newcastle will guide you to the entrance.

After an epic day of music, you’ll want a comfortable place to rest. Newcastle city centre (just a short drive or Metro ride away) offers a wide range of hotels, guesthouses and hostels to suit all budgets. If you prefer a countryside stay, look for charming B&Bs in nearby Northumberland towns like Hexham or Morpeth. Some festival-goers also arrange campsites or glamping in the north-east countryside if that’s offered. Book early in the summer, as accommodations can fill up quickly. Finally, check current bus or metro schedules for the late-night return journey — taxis and ride-share services are plentiful too, ensuring you can get back from the festival safely at the end of the night.
