About Forbidden Forest
Forbidden Forest 2027 takes electronic music back to Belvoir Castle, Grantham, with house, tech house, techno and D’n’B at the centre of the bill. The festival was founded in 2016. Its current licence lists a 22,000 capacity at any one time, split between 17,000 camping ticket holders and 5,000 day ticket holders.
The 2027 edition runs from 28 May to 30 May. Ticket tiers listed by the festival run from Weekend Non-Camping at £150 plus fees to Forbidden Lakeside Camping at £399 plus fees.
Lineup and Programme
The programme is built around electronic music, with house, tech house, techno and D’n’B across the arena. Named stages include Azteca, Reactor, Bunker, Tempest and Hive.
Music runs across multiple stages. Food and drink operate in both the campsite and arena, with VIP area access listed among the event activities.
Who Is It For?
Forbidden Forest is an 18+ only event, and valid photo ID is required on entry. The audience is an adult electronic-music crowd, with the strongest pull for house, tech house, techno and D’n’B.
It is not a family festival. Current base ticket types are labelled 18+ only by the festival.
The Venue and Site
Belvoir Castle sits on the Belvoir Estate in the Vale of Belvoir. Forbidden Forest uses the castle grounds rather than the inside of the castle itself, with the forest setting and named stages built into the festival’s identity.
Camping is a central part of the site. Standard camping is bring-your-own-tent only, while premium and lakeside camping allow upgraded accommodation options via Pink Moon.
Facilities include a standard campsite, Campsite Village, premium campsite showers, free drinking-water points and a campsite camping-equipment shop. The Lakeside Retreat has a swimming pool, hot tubs, saunas and exclusive food and drink vendors.
The venue is cashless and has no ATMs on site. Accessible facilities include wheelchair-accessible toilets and showers, plus a changing places unit.
