Riverside Museum & Yard sits on the north bank of the Clyde, away from the city-centre club circuit. Fly Open Air Fest brings its 2027 Glasgow edition there from 21-23 May 2027, as an 18+ electronic music festival centred on house and techno. The festival began in 2016 as Edinburgh’s first inner-city outdoor dance festival at Princes Street Gardens, later returning to that site and moving through Hopetoun House before the Glasgow debut at Riverside Museum in 2026. The 2027 event is subject to licence.

Who Is It For?

This is an 18+ event. The crowd is adult and club-led, with the music angled toward house, techno and electronic sounds rather than multi-genre camping-festival traffic. FLY’s wider identity is tied to the dance-music community.

Riverside Museum & Yard is at 100 Pointhouse Place, Glasgow G3 8RS. The site uses the museum’s riverside setting on the north bank of the Clyde. Practical facilities on site include:

• Subway: Govan subway station is 0.3 miles away, with the Govan-Partick Bridge linking the area.
• Road access: Main approaches include Pointhouse Place, Dumbarton Road and the Clydeside Expressway.
• Parking: Riverside Museum has around 100 on-site spaces. Charges run from £3 for up to 1 hour to £10 for 3-10 hours, with a £3 overnight flat rate. Alternative parking is at Bunhouse Road next to Kelvin Hall.
