Counterflows is an experimental music festival based at CCA in Glasgow, with a multi-day city-centre format.
The festival works across contemporary music, sound art, free improvisation and electronic music, drawing an open and adventurous audience. Its approach mixes local and international artists with a community-oriented, non-hierarchical frame.
Its history runs back to 2011, when the first version took place across Glasgow, Berlin and London before Glasgow became the festival’s base.
