Bath International Music Festival

Bath International Music Festival was established in 1948 takes place annually over 12 days in late May to early June.  The festival showcases a wide range of events including, but not limited to, orchestral and classical virtuosos, jazz, roots, folk and world music as well as innovative collaborations and unique commissions.

The festival has a tradition of leadership and in the past such names as Yehudi Menuhin, Michael Tippett and William Glock have taken the lead role.  2013 will be Joanna MacGregor's seventh and final time in the lead - the following year sees composer Alasdair Nicolson take up the role.
