Zoo Brazil

Zoo Brazil is a Swedish electronic music group made up of John Andersson and Johan Emmoth. The pair work as producers and DJs and also record under the names Laid, Cuba Computers, Nars and Outcold. They build a reputation through their work in techno, house, minimal and tech house, with a focus on club-oriented production and DJ sets.

Production and remix work

Andersson and Emmoth work with a range of other artists, including Human League. They also produce remixes for underground dance acts such as Blaze and Zoot Woman. Their remix credits extend to labels including Music For Freaks, Paper Recordings and 20:20 Vision.

Releases and sound

Their first release on GPM shows a style built around stripped-back four-to-the-floor rhythms, acid-style synth lines, raw stabs and minimal percussion. The track “Walk Right Back” draws attention as a floor-focused piece associated with dance scenes in London and Berlin.
