Zombie Zombie
Zombie Zombie is a French electropop group active since 2006. The group consists of Étienne Jaumet and Cosmic Neman. It works with synths and drums and is associated with electronic music, krautrock, psychedelic music and electro.
Style and influences
The duo draws on krautrock such as Can and Neu!, and on horror film soundtracks associated with Goblin and John Carpenter. It is also known for a preference for vintage synthesizers.
Releases
Zombie Zombie makes its recording debut in 2006 with the Zombie-Zombie 12-inch EP on Boomboomtchak Records. It then moves to Versatile Records for Driving This Road Until Death Sets You Free, a 12-inch single, followed by the full-length A Land for Renegades in 2008. In 2007, Étienne Jaumet also makes his solo recording debut on Versatile Records with Repeat Again After Me, a 12-inch release that includes a remix of the title track by Âme.
