Zero 9:36 is Matthew Cullen, a rapper, singer and musician from Langhorne, Pennsylvania, born in 1997. He is known for an aggressive performance style and a confrontational outlook, and he develops from the Philadelphia hip-hop scene into a broader alternative sound with a nationwide audience.

Early work as Zero

He first records under the name Zero, where his fast delivery and sharp verses draw attention in the Philadelphia hip-hop community. His 2016 mixtape Paradise Campground marks him out as an artist to watch.

Shift to Zero 9:36

By 2019, he changes his name to Zero 9:36. At this stage he blends rapping and singing more fully, with guitars and electronic elements becoming more prominent in his arrangements. The 2019 EP You Will Not Be Saved adds alternative metal and other metal influences to his sound.
