Your Demise

Your Demise are a UK metalcore band from St Albans in Hertfordshire, with members also associated with Brighton and Salisbury. The group is active from 2003 to 2022 and works in hardcore, hardcore punk, beatdown hardcore and beatdown, with a Straight Edge association in its tags.

History

The band begins in 2005 and becomes a five-piece act. It shares stages and tours with Biohazard, Comeback Kid, Bury Your Dead, Enter Shikari, The Devil Wears Prada, Miss May I, Parkway Drive and A Day to Remember.

In September 2008, the group confirms a deal with Visible Noise. It records its Visible Noise debut between November 2008 and January 2009 at Outhouse Studios in Reading, England. Its second album, Ignorance Never Dies, follows in April 2009, and the band tours Europe and the UK with Deez Nuts, More Than Life and Lower Than Atlantis. It also signs with Earache Records in North America and Shock Records in Australia.

After Ignorance Never Dies, vocalist George Noble leaves and former Centurion frontman Ed McRae joins on vocals. The band then tours the UK and Europe with Misery Signals, Scandinavia with Raised Fist, and later Europe with The Devil Wears Prada.

Your Demise completes its third album, The Kids We Used To Be, in June 2010. The record is released in the UK, Japan and Europe in September, with a US release following in October. In 2011, the band announces The Golden Age, which appears in 2012 and features several guest vocalists.
