Young Summer is the professional name of Bobbie Allen, an American singer-songwriter based in Washington, D.C. She works in dream pop, indie pop and singer-songwriter styles, and is listed with female vocals. Her first studio album, Siren, is released in 2014. She follows it with the EP You Would Have Loved It Here in 2016, and also releases the single “Alright” in 2016.

Allen’s influences include Karen Carpenter, David Bowie, Michael Jackson, Ryan Adams and Prince. She also co-writes Echosmith’s song “Goodbye”, which serves as the lead single from the band’s second studio album, Inside a Dream. Her writing is described as direct and personal, with the songs connected by a deliberate sense of honesty.
