You Win Again Gravity

You Win Again Gravity is a progressive post-hardcore and alternative rock group from Windsor, England. The band is active from 2012 and has a sound associated with progressive metal, progressive rock, post-hardcore and math metal.

Background and style

The band describes its early sound as math-inspired post-hardcore, with influences that include Misery Signals, Finch, Deftones, Poison the Well and Oceansize. It forms in Windsor and goes through a number of line-up and musical changes over time.

Line-up

Jack Jennings handles vocals and guitar. Johnny Bastable and Andy Janson play guitar, Andy Mould plays bass, and James MacKenzie plays drums and vocals. Daniel Dreelan is listed as a former guitarist.

Releases

The group releases Reflect The Change in 2012, followed by the EPs Brightly Coloured Landscapes and Let Go Lightly in 2014, What’s Left Of The Distance in 2016, and the album Anonymity in 2017. It then releases the singles Lights To Leave Behind in 2019 and Recursive in 2020.

Later activity

At one stage the band parts ways with its singer and begins re-forming around a new vocalist. It also works on re-mastered tracks, new songs and new photos as part of that period of change.
