You And What Army

You And What Army, also known as YAWA, is a four-piece rock, rap and rave band from Telford in Shropshire, UK. The group consists of David Brown, Kieran Smith, Jamie Hancox and Zak Hammond. Their sound is associated with trancecore, experimental, electronic, trance and screamo.

Career

The band appears at several major UK festivals in 2010, including Download Festival, T in the Park, Sonisphere, Underage Festival and Hevy Music Festival. In the same period, they tour with Kids in Glass Houses and Boys Like Girls, and perform with Hadouken!, Chase and Status, Tempah T, My Passion, Goldie Lookin Chain, Dave McPherson and Silent Descent.

Recognition

You And What Army win the Red Bull Bedroom Jam music competition in 2010. In 2011, they return to Download Festival, Sonisphere and Hevy Festival, and also play Camden Crawl and the main stage at Osfest in Oswestry, where they warm up for Example.
