Xerath

Xerath are a progressive metal group from Basingstoke, United Kingdom, active from 2007. They are signed to Candlelight Records and are tagged across djent, groove metal, metal, progressive metal and symphonic metal. The band describes its sound as “orchestral groove metal”, drawing on the industrial edge of Strapping Young Lad, the rhythmic complexity of Meshuggah and orchestral music.

Line-up

Xerath form in 2007 with guitarist Andy Phillips, drummer Michael Pitman and bassist Owain Williams, later joined by vocalist Richard Thomson.

Releases

Their debut album, I, is released in 2009, followed by II in 2011.
