Wyvern Lingo

Wyvern Lingo are an Irish group from Bray, Ireland, made up of Saoirse Duane on guitar and vocals, Caoimhe Barry on drums and vocals, and Karen Cowley on keys and vocals. The three have been writing together since they met at the age of 11.

Their music combines influences from Led Zeppelin, Joni Mitchell and Simon & Garfunkel with 1990s and 2000s R&B, and they are known for close vocal harmonies. Their live set ranges from stripped-back a cappella and acoustic folk material to fuller arrangements using complete drums and synth bass.

Wyvern Lingo gains recognition on the Dublin music scene for its soulful vocals and harmonies. The group plays a range of Irish festivals, including Knockanstockan and Electric Picnic, and releases its first EP before putting out The Widow Knows independently in August 2014.

Their self-titled debut album, Wyvern Lingo, appears in 2018 and reaches number 1 on the Independent Irish Charts and the Irish iTunes charts. It is also named among the Irish Times and Hot Press Top 10 albums of 2018. The group is active from 2014 to the present.
