Wraith

Wraith is a heavy rock and heavy metal group from Nottingham, England, active from 1987. It forms after the end of another Nottingham band, Deuce, and develops a melodic, guitar-led style that also fits within hard rock and heavy metal.

Line-up

The group’s early line-up includes lead guitarist Gregg “Greggo” Russell, bassist Steven “Rimmo” Rimmington, vocalist Jedd Clarc and drummer Simon “Emmy” Hemstock. Other members associated with the group include Scott Carey, Mike Barker, Steve Clarke, Ryan Coggin, Ian Ettridge, Andy Gamble, Jay Graham, Tony Mills, Kim Nielsen-Parsons, Andy Reynolds, Dieter Schänzer, Mike McKinnon, Tonka, Iain Dilley and Ken Tilley.

Releases

The band’s recorded output begins with the EP Naked Agression. It then releases Riot and Danger Calling, followed by Schizophrenia. A later album, Evolution, appears in 2007 and marks a shift away from the group’s earlier approach.

Activity

Clarc leaves the band around 1995, but the group continues. Russell remains involved with Wraith’s future direction.
