Wounds

Wounds is a group from the United States that is active from 2010 to 2012 and is associated with black metal. The name is used by several different acts, but one version is an ambient project by Bartosz Szturgiewicz from Poland, who also co-owns Terranean Recordings. That project also uses the name Wound and releases a debut album, Winter Ambient Works, in 2010.

Other groups called Wounds appear in different styles and places, including a technical death metal band from Chicago, a post-punk/hardcore band from Dublin, a Finnish death/thrash metal band, a down-tuned hardcore band from Sacramento, and a black/death metal band from Sarnia, Ontario. The Chicago band describes itself as “Brutal Tech Metal Straight Out Of Chicago!” and releases an EP and an album, while the Dublin band gains attention for touring with Gallows, Cancer Bats, Crime In Stereo and Sharks, and for its debut EP Dead, Dead Fucking Dead and planned album Die Young.
