Woodland Creatures is the name used by more than one act. One version is an independent live hip hop band from Boston, active since 1998. That group combines rap with a three-piece band setup and an MC-led performance style, with two MCs and a DJ at the centre of the lineup. It releases the debut album Darkest Dayz of Hip Hop and the follow-up Straight into Doom, both of which receive attention in the United States. Another Woodland Creatures act is a folk rock group from Langley, British Columbia, Canada. A third is an acoustic folk duo from Norwich, England.
