Wooden Horse

Wooden Horse

Wooden Horse is a folk-rock group originally from Australia, later based in London, and active in the 1970s. The band forms around acoustic and vocal harmony-driven folk rock, and is associated with British folk rock, contemporary folk and folk rock.

Line-up

The group’s line-up includes Susan Traynor, also known as Noosha Fox, as female vocalist. David Mateer and Malcom Harrison provide vocals and guitar, Steve Marwood plays lead guitar, and Neil Brockbank plays bass.

Releases and style

Wooden Horse releases two rare LPs in the early 1970s: Wooden Horse and Wooden Horse II. The band grows out of the London folk scene and is often compared with American acts such as Crosby, Stills and Nash, Neil Young, and Peter, Paul and Mary for its close harmonies and acoustic sound.
