Wolfie

Wolfie is a Champaign, United States indie pop and power pop group active from 1996 to 2001. The band is made up of Mike Downey and Joe Ziemba, and it is associated with twee pop, lo-fi and indie pop.

The group is a US indie rock band with a sound rooted in pop and a lo-fi, twee-influenced style. Its members also form or have formed other acts including Busytoby, Mathlete and National Splits.

Wolfie is linked to Amanda Ziemba and RJ Porter in its wider history, and Joe Ziemba and Amanda Ziemba also play as the husband-and-wife duo The Like Young, a Chicago indie rock group. A song titled “Tall Dark Hill” is noted as closer in style to that project than the rest of Wolfie’s material.
