Withered Hand

Withered Hand is the solo project of Scottish indie-rock musician Dan Willson, who is based in Edinburgh. Born in 1974, he works mainly as a singer-songwriter and folk-influenced indie artist.

He is closely associated with other Edinburgh acts including Enfant Bastard and Meursault, as well as the DIY collective known as the Fence Collective. He collaborates with King Creosote on his second EP, which is issued on Fence Records.

Withered Hand’s debut album, Good News, is produced by Kramer, known for his work with Low, Daniel Johnston and Galaxie 500. It is released on SL Records, later issued through his own imprint Brother & Dad, and also appears in the United States on Absolutely Kosher Records. The live line-up usually brings in musicians from Meursault and The Leg, although the project most often performs as a solo act.
