With The Dead are a UK doom metal group formed in 2014 by members of Napalm Death, Cathedral, Electric Wizard and Ramesses. The lineup includes Tim Bagshaw, Lee Dorrian and Mark Greening.

Background

The band plays doom metal with a heavy, stoner-inflected sound. It forms around Tim Bagshaw on guitar and bass, Lee Dorrian on vocals, and Mark Greening on drums and percussion. Bagshaw’s earlier work includes Serpentine Path, Ramesses and Electric Wizard. Dorrian is also known for Septic Tank, Cathedral, Teeth of Lions Rule the Divine, Napalm Death, Armed Revolutionary Action and Pig Disease. Greening’s other credits include Ramesses, 11 Paranoias and Electric Wizard.

Line-up changes

Mark Greening handles drums and percussion from 2014 to 2016. Later members include Lee Smee on bass from 2016 and Alex Thomas on drums from 2016. Smee is also associated with Age of Taurus and Cathedral, while Thomas is also known for Bolt Thrower.
