Witch Hunt

Witch Hunt is a US hardcore punk band that forms in northern New Jersey in 2001 and is later based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The group starts as a three-piece with Janine Enriquez on bass, Rob Fitzpatrick on drums and Nicole Enriquez on guitar, with all members sharing vocal duties. In 2005, Vince Klopfenstein joins on drums, and Rob Fitzpatrick moves to guitar. The line-up is Janine Enriquez, Rob Fitzpatrick, Nicole Enriquez and Vince Klopfenstein.

Releases

The band’s first two releases appear on Profane Existence. Their recorded output includes three full-length albums: ...As Priorities Decay (2004), Blood Red States (2006) and Burning Bridges To Nowhere (on Alternative Tentacles in 2009). They also issue a compilation of early unreleased recordings, This Is Only The Beginning... (2007).

Style and themes

Their music is rooted in hardcore punk and related crust, anarcho-punk and punk styles. The lyrics focus mainly on social and political subjects, including imperialism, sexual abuse, the state and the environment.
