Wish

Wish is a Dutch doom metal group from Noord-Brabant, active from 1993 to 2003. It is a project of Bart Smits, who was previously a member of The Gathering between 1989 and 1992. The group also includes Micha van den Ven and Alwin Roes.

Style and releases

The band is associated with gothic rock, gothic metal, progressive rock and doom metal, with some descriptions also placing it in post-doom or gothic rock. Its debut album, Monochrome, appears in 1995 and does not achieve much mainstream attention, but some listeners regard it as a rare underground classic. Tracks and video material circulate under Wish (NL).
