Will McNicol is a British acoustic fingerstyle guitarist and composer born in Glasgow. He starts playing guitar at the age of six and later builds a live profile through solo shows, festival appearances and support slots for a range of artists, including Pierre Bensusan, Clive Carroll, Jon Gomm, Martin Simpson and Mumford and Sons.

He comes to wider attention in 2007 after appearing on the Dorset Sound Festival stage. He is later named Guitarist Magazine’s UK Acoustic Guitarist of the Year in 2011 and is included in Acoustic Guitar Magazine’s 30 Great Guitarists Under 30 from around the world in 2014. He is based in the south of England.

His work and performances receive praise from the music press, which describes them as “beautifully flawless” and “magical”.
