Wildstreet
Wildstreet is a hard rock group from New York, United States, active since 2006. The band plays a style rooted in 1980s arena rock, with elements of sleaze rock, glam rock and glam metal, built around big choruses, guitar solos and strong melodies.
History
The band forms in 2006 and develops a live reputation through regular touring and club shows in New York and beyond. In the early part of its career, Wildstreet releases two EPs and two music videos over a seven-year period. Its songs receive more than 3,000,000 views on YouTube and later pass 5,000,000 views on the platform.
Wildstreet releases its debut EP on Retrospect Records, a Las Vegas-based independent label, and follows it with Wildstreet II ...Faster...Louder!, which appears in 2011. The band then returns after a break and records new material with a changed line-up, including the single Raise Hell in 2017.
Recordings and media use
The band’s music appears on television networks including MTV, VH1, Oxygen, TBS and E!, and in a THQ video game. Tracks such as Cocked & Ready, Shake It and Poison Kiss are used on television, including in Glory Daze and Married to Rock. The video for Easy Does It spreads widely online, and the later video for Poison Kiss includes a cameo by Don Jameson of The Metal Show.
