Wildbirds & Peacedrums

Wildbirds & Peacedrums is a Swedish duo from Gothenburg, active since 2007, made up of Mariam Wallentin and Andreas Werliin. The group works with a stripped-down line-up centred on Wallentin’s vocals and Werliin’s percussion and drumming.

Their sound combines rock and indie with elements of experimental music, and the group is also described in terms of folk, blues and other hybrid influences. Rather than using a conventional band setup, they build arrangements around voice and rhythm, with Werliin’s unorthodox percussion supporting Wallentin’s prominent singing.
